This is Wes and John Adams our Delaware Rooster. Apparently he holds the lowest rank of our four roosters. Joel reported that he went out to pet him earlier this week, and he 'fell over'. (that is never a good sign with an animal) So, we isolated him and found out that he is perfectly healthy but starving since the other roosters wouldn't let him eat! He is doing well now, and we are going to try to find another home for him. The term 'pecking order' has a whole new meaning around here.
Way to rescue to poor rooser, Wesley. We just rescued a weak, exhausted Oregon Junko after a small hailstorm. He was dazed and frozen just sitting on our upper terrace where we scooped him up, fed and warmed him and then released him after the weather changed. You sure are a handsome young man. ReplyDeletewow, maybe you could work him out, feed him steroids and bulk him up, then have this former underdog, John Adams teach a new pecking order. that would make a great film. perhaps another home is less time consuming though.
