family vacation

This year we went to Williamburg for our vacation. Every day we went to the pool and to the arcade. Sometimes we played mini golf or tennis. We also rode a ferry into Jamestown.
Mom and I went clothes shopping while we were there, and we found some nice clothes. That was my favorite part of our vacation.

Chicks

"Having chicks is a lot of fun. So far we have 23 chicks and almost 50 chickens. We have to have hens to take care of all those chicks. So far we have 2 mother hens." ~Jesse DeVos

Annabelle

Too much time has passed since we have updated our blog! Annabelle has arrived on the scene, and she is absolutely great.

Her newest trick, at two months, is sucking her finger and thumb. She spends a lot of time each day perfecting this hobby.

She has also learned how to coo and roll over (the rolling over is new as of today).

Wesley and John Adams

This is Wes and John Adams our Delaware Rooster. Apparently he holds the lowest rank of our four roosters. Joel reported that he went out to pet him earlier this week, and he 'fell over'. (that is never a good sign with an animal) So, we isolated him and found out that he is perfectly healthy but starving since the other roosters wouldn't let him eat! He is doing well now, and we are going to try to find another home for him. The term 'pecking order' has a whole new meaning around here.

Ron's home office

One of the great changes since moving to Concord, is having Ron working from his home office.
We all love having him around more often.

Spotlight on Winston

We are so proud of this three year old! One of our goals for the month was to see if he could kick the thumb habit. After three weeks, we are happy to say that he is thumb-free.
